LEE LINENS handmade towels are woven by me in my Charlotteville, NY studio. 100% cotton, lusciously soft and absorbent, all my towels are machine wash- and dry-able, and need no ironing. I am currently offering Fingertip Towels.
Fingertip towels are sometimes called "guest" towels (at "3" x 19" they're a bit smaller than hand towels) but these sweet towels are so charming that no one saves them for guests!
I maintain a small inventory of the towels you see here. If the ones you want are not in stock, I will make them for you.
I'm an artist born and bred in Greenwich Village, New York City, where I made terra cotta high-relief sculpture (LeeStoliar.com), exhibited nationally and internationally since 1982. In 1999, I became owner of The Folstaf Company (folstaf.com) -- which manufactures Folstaf(R) wading and walking staffs -- and I, my picture-painter husband (LeonardDufresne.com) and our young child moved our selves, studios and Folstaf factory into an 1830 farmhouse in Charlotteville, NY. In 2015 -- son Dorian long gone off to college and their artist life in Portland, OR -- I entered "53rd Grade" by indulging my lifelong attraction to the structures of floor looms and the rhythmic physicality of weaving: I got myself a beautiful Louet loom and learned to weave.
I hope you'll sign up to see my new towels!
